Lord of Hatred: The Ultimate Leveling Strategy Guide (1–70+)
Master the LoH Campaign and blast into the Endgame
Welcome! I’m Chrix1848, and with the launch of the *Lord of Hatred* expansion on August 28th, it’s time to optimize our path to power.
To help you get ahead of the curve, I’ve put together this comprehensive leveling guide based on the latest strategies **summarized by Creator Rob2628**. Let's dive into the most efficient way to conquer the new content and reach the endgame.
---
## Phase 1: The Fresh Start (Levels 1–45)
The journey begins with the new seasonal content. Remember: the Season starts roughly 30 minutes after the Lord of Hatred launch (4:30 PM PDT).
- **Create your Seasonal Character:** When the game launches, select "EXP2 Start" to jump straight into the new campaign.
- **Choose Your Difficulty:** Start on Normal for speed, or Hard if you want a bit more of a challenge.
- **Don’t Forget Your Pet:** Open your Wardrobe (press "I") and equip your pet immediately. They are essential for auto-picking up gold and materials.
- **Recruit Your Mercenary:** Head to the Den in Nahantu as soon as possible. Leveling your Mercenary Rapport unlocks crucial skills and legendary rewards through Bartering.
- **Follow the Yellow Brick Road:** Stick to the Yellow Main Quests. This will take you through Hawezar and eventually to the new area, Skovos.
[info]**Note:** The story is beautiful and takes about 5–10 hours, but if you’re in a rush, you can skip cutscenes with ESC.[/info]
[warning]**Class Quests:** At ==Level 15==, your Class Quest will complete automatically for returning players (non-Warlocks). If you are playing a Warlock or it's your first time, make sure to manually complete your Purple Class Quest to activate your bonuses![/warning]
---
## Phase 2: Post-Campaign & The Mid-Game (Levels 45–60)
Once the EXP2 Campaign is wrapped up around ==Level 45==, it’s time to shift gears toward World Tiers and Skill Points.
- **1st Capstone Dungeon:** Complete "Torrid Menagerie" in Hawezar to unlock additional Skill Points.
- **The Helltide Grind:** Switch to Hard difficulty and focus on Helltides while completing Whispers.
- **Inventory Management:** Use the 5-minute Helltide breaks to salvage gear, min-max your stats, and run 1–2 quick dungeons for essential Aspects (like Juggernaut).
- **2nd Capstone Dungeon:** Between levels 50–60, take on "Hellish Descent" in Scosglen.
[info] Recommend doing the 2nd Capstone after clearing some Strongholds, as the final boss can be quite a wall at ==Level 60==.[/info]
[info]**Pro Tip:** Play in a group! Check out the Discord or Twitch Stream Chat.[/info]

## Phase 3: Pushing to Level 70 & The Pit
==Level 60== is where the game really opens up.
- **Strongholds:** At Level 60, clear your Strongholds on Normal. You get the same experience as higher difficulties, making it the fastest way to bridge the gap.
- **Access The Pit:** Once the Strongholds are cleared, you gain access to The Pit. This is your ticket to ==Level 70== in record time.
- **Getting to Penitent:** At Level 70, change your difficulty to Penitent. This is the time to Temper, reroll, and imprint your gear. Don't forget to equip your Runes and spend those Obols!
- **Unlocking T1:** Enter The Pit and clear Tier 10 to unlock the Torment 1 (T1) difficulty.
---
## Phase 4: Entering the Endgame (Torment Tiers)
Now the real hunt for Ancestrals and Mythics begins.
- **Torment 1 (T1):** Focus on Helltides and start running Lair Bosses for Uniques. Grouping up increases your chances for Ancestral and Mythic items!
- **Paragon Progression:** - **3rd Capstone (Kehjistan):** Run this once you are comfortable in T1 (around Paragon 25) to unlock more Paragon Points.
- **4th Capstone:** Tackle this once you can handle T4 (around Paragon 50).
- **5th Capstone:** The final push! Complete this around Paragon 75 to fully unlock your character's potential and higher Torment levels via The Pit.
---
## Quick Tips for Leveling
- At lower levels, don’t spend too much time comparing items.
- Focus on your class’s primary stat (Warlock = Willpower).
- Prioritize movement speed.
- If you find a strong Aspect, imprint it on an amulet and keep it for longer.
---
## Final Words
Stay consistent, don’t let anything stop you, and most importantly: have fun in Sanctuary! Watch out-fishing takes time! xD
See you in the stream.
*Yours, Chrix1848*
