Gift of the Tree: Double Whisper Caches Until July 21

Diablo 4 is stacking the loot for one short week: during the Gift of the Tree event, running July 14–21, the Tree of Whispers pays out double. Every Whisper Cache you claim at the Tree comes with an extra bonus cache – no additional effort, just your usual Whisper farming. If you're already grinding gear and materials in the Season of Awakened Death, now is the time to push hard.

What does "Gift of the Tree" give you?

The Tree of Whispers is one of Season 14's most reliable sources of targeted loot: when you turn in, you choose which reward category your cache rolls. During the event, that yield effectively doubles – for every regular Whisper Cache, a second one drops into your inventory. Over a full week that adds up to a serious boost in gold, materials, Aspects, and gear.

Keep in mind the event is strictly time-limited. Once the promotion ends on July 21, the bonus caches are gone – so make the most of the window while it's open.

How to get the most out of it

• Turn in Whispers in bulk: Stockpile several Grim Favors before heading to the Tree so you rack up as many (bonus) caches as possible in one trip.
• Pick your reward type on purpose: Set the cache category to whatever your build needs right now – gear for a specific slot, or materials for upgrading.
• Combine it with seasonal activities: Whispers pile up naturally as you explore, run dungeons, and fight world bosses – route your runs to sweep up bounties along the way.
• Wrap up before July 21: Don't save unclaimed caches for after the event – the bonus only applies to caches you collect during the promo window.

Hunt the Death Cult – the Season of Awakened Death

The event lands right in the middle of the Season of Awakened Death, which is in full swing. A cult of death worshippers is tearing the veil between worlds across Sanctuary, letting creatures from the planes of madness spill through. Beyond that veil you'll find not just new enemies, but the season's strongest rewards.

If you want to dig deeper, there's no shortage of targets: gaping rifts in the Hellbreaches and Nightmare Dungeons, reworked Realmwalkers as an endgame challenge, and the Corrupted Soul Harvester to hunt for those coveted Mythic Unique drops. On top of that come a revamped system for Mythic items, the new Tower with leaderboards, and the Solo Self-Found mode for anyone who wants to climb on their own.
