Diablo 4 Season 15: Legacy Uniques & New Mythic Items

New items can change a build, but a familiar name does not automatically make something a must-have drop. Diablo 4 Season 15 Uniques bring returning items from earlier Diablo games alongside revised equipment and new Mythic options.

When planning your start, focus on what matters: which item makes your build work, which improves it later, and which supposed hidden gem only looks powerful because of a PTR bug?

What Does “Legacy Unique” Mean?

Blizzard does use “Legacy Uniques” as a term for items from Diablo I, II, and III returning in Diablo IV. They are permanent additions.

We cover items already available in Diablo IV separately as existing Uniques. This keeps a familiar Diablo III name distinct from equipment you could already farm in Season 14.

Existing Uniques: Changes Worth Watching

The following selection is a watchlist based on PTR changes, not a ranking of the best Season 15 items.

A buff alone does not justify changing builds. First check whether you trigger the relevant mechanic consistently. A bigger bonus does little if your main skill barely benefits from it.

Candidates Across Classes

Familiar names such as Harlequin Crest, Shroud of False Death, Tyrael’s Might, and Ring of Starless Skies remain useful comparison points when planning equipment. Their reputation is no substitute for comparing complete builds.

Before each swap, check three things: will you lose an essential Unique power? Will your resource generation remain reliable? Can you still survive the same encounters consistently?

This compact selection does not make a blanket recommendation for an existing Spiritborn or Paladin class Unique. Their new options shared across classes appear in the next section.

New Uniques in Diablo 4 Season 15: Legacy Items

The current named list contains nine items. Some summary counts in Blizzard’s blog contradict that list. This guide follows the items specifically named.

You can find the items already entered, including images and their Unique effects, in our Diablo 4 Season 15 PTR item overview. Use it to look up individual powers directly. All listed values are from the PTR and are not final. Messerschmidt’s Reaver is not listed there yet.

Messerschmidt’s Reaver was not available on the PTR. The reviewed material does not reliably describe its Diablo IV power yet. Its Diablo III effect should not simply be assumed to carry over.

Which Mechanics Look Interesting?

Leoric’s Crown counts as Jewelry in the preview and amplifies socketed gems. Stone of Jordan combines equalized Resistances with a matching elemental damage bonus. Both deserve comparison with your existing offensive and defensive equipment.

In-Geom helps with cooldowns after defeating an Elite pack. Nemesis Bracers spawn an Elite pack at Shrines. That makes them candidates for fast farming routes.

The Furnace focuses on Elite damage. Arioc’s Needle emphasizes Deadly Strike. Henri’s Perquisition converts Dexterity into Primary Stat. Test these effects against your existing weapons or Focus rather than assuming they are automatic upgrades.

Squirt’s Blouse rewards avoiding Life loss with damage, but also increases the danger from incoming damage. It would not be a sensible first fix for a build that already struggles to stay alive.

These mechanics come from the prerelease version and supplementary PTR item overviews. They do not establish complete, final affix cards.

New Mythic Uniques: What Is Actually New?

The reviewed publications do not establish a reliable list of new, independently named Iconic Mythics. The documented additions mainly concern Mythic variants and Mythic Unique Charms.

Mythic Versions of Existing Uniques

The planned direct Cube upgrade preserves the original item, including its affixes, Tempering, and Masterworking. Unmodifiable items are excluded. The result receives the Crafted tag; under the PTR rule, only one such item can be equipped.

Our recommendation: Keep a suitable base item before investing rare materials. Let your actual build determine which item deserves the limited slot.

Mythic Unique Charms

These are Charms placed in the Talisman, not active skills. Unique Charms can appear as Mythic versions with maximum property values and a stronger Unique power.

According to the preview, they cannot be crafted or target-farmed. Plan around them as later upgrades.

Existing Iconic Mythics are also set to receive regular Unique versions. A familiar Mythic name on an ordinary Unique therefore does not represent a completely new item concept.

New Unique Charms for Existing Items

The PTR list also names these 16 existing items as new Unique Charm options:

Ae’grom’s Schism, Eye of Baal, Gospel of the Devotee, Grasp of Shadow, Hand of Apotheosis, Hellhound’s Sabatons, Infernal Homunculus, Rictus of Terror, Shard of Verathiel, Signet of Pelghain, The Basilisk, The Hemat Stone, The Mortacrux, The Third Blade, Thundergod’s Blessing, and Vox Omnium.

These are new Charm options, not 16 new pieces of equipment.

Which Items Should You Prioritize at Season Start?

Get the build working first, then optimize it.

1. Build-enabling items first: Start with the item your intended playstyle needs to function. Use a working alternative until it drops.
2. Secure resources and survivability: A theoretical damage gain is not worthwhile if you then spend your time waiting for resources or reviving.
3. Compare farming speed: Measure complete runs, including travel and deaths. Individual large damage numbers tell you very little.
4. Choose Mythic upgrades last: Compare the full result with your current setup before committing valuable materials.

Where Do These Uniques Drop?

No reliable final boss assignments could be confirmed for the new Legacy Uniques. Avoid committing to a specific boss farming route until its loot pool has been verified.

Both overviews are still labeled for Season 14 at the time of research. Use them as references for existing content, not as confirmation of new Season 15 drops.

Also distinguish between finding a suitable Unique, upgrading it to Mythic, and obtaining a Mythic Charm. These goals have different acquisition routes. Equipment farming advice does not automatically apply to Charms.
