Getting Started: How to Unlock Fishing As soon as you reach the new region of the Skovos Isles, you will automatically receive the quest "The Call of the Ocean." - Visit the NPC **Shi Yugong** at the Port of Skovos. He will teach you the basics. - You **do not need a fishing rod** in your inventory; fishing is conveniently started via the Emote Wheel (Action: "Cast Line") at any suitable body of water.
