Rain of Arrows Cold Imbuement Rogue – Endgame Build

The Rain of Arrows Cold Imbuement Rogue is a mobile ranged endgame build for Diablo 4 Season 15 that controls large enemy packs with Rain of Arrows and Cold Imbuement while dealing high area damage.

The core mechanic of the build is casting Rain of Arrows with as much Energy as possible. Beastfall Boots consume all of your Energy when casting a non-channeled Ultimate Skill and increase its damage based on the amount of Energy consumed.

Aftermath Aspect supports this cycle by generating Energy when you cast Rain of Arrows, with the amount scaling with the skill's rank. This allows you to quickly recover a significant amount of Energy after each cast.

Combined with high Maximum Energy and sufficient Cooldown Reduction, this creates a fast Rain of Arrows cycle that allows you to use your main damage skill as often as possible.

Cold Imbuement converts the damage of Imbueable Skills to Cold damage, Chills enemies and activates the build's Cold synergies.

Playstyle

Your primary damage skill is Rain of Arrows. Try to cast it with a high Energy pool whenever possible so that Beastfall Boots can consume more Energy and provide a larger damage bonus.

Activate Cold Imbuement before your damage window. This causes Rain of Arrows to deal Cold damage, Chill enemies and activate the corresponding Cold synergies.

The selected Breaking Waves upgrade significantly changes Rain of Arrows. The arrows strike in shorter waves from the sides, knock enemies toward the center and make them Vulnerable. This makes the build particularly effective against large enemy packs.

Use Heartseeker between Rain of Arrows casts to continue attacking enemies and maintain additional synergies.

Use Dash and Shadow Step to position yourself for your next Rain of Arrows or avoid dangerous enemy attacks.

Concealment provides both safety and mobility when preparing your next damage window. It makes you Unstoppable and increases your Movement Speed.

Tip: Avoid unnecessarily casting Rain of Arrows with low Energy. The more Energy you have when casting it, the more damage you can gain from Beastfall Boots.

Rotation

Enemy Packs

Cold Imbuement → Dash / Shadow Step → Rain of Arrows → Heartseeker

  • Activate Cold Imbuement.
  • Position yourself with Dash or Shadow Step so Rain of Arrows can hit as many enemies as possible.
  • Make sure your Energy is as high as possible.
  • Cast Rain of Arrows.
  • Breaking Waves knocks enemies toward the center and makes them Vulnerable.
  • Use Heartseeker while Rain of Arrows becomes available again.
  • Use Concealment when needed for safety, Unstoppable or better positioning.

Elites & Bosses

Concealment → Cold Imbuement → Rain of Arrows → Heartseeker

  • Position yourself before starting your damage window.
  • Use Concealment when you need additional safety or mobility.
  • Activate Cold Imbuement.
  • Make sure your Energy is as high as possible.
  • Cast Rain of Arrows.
  • Use Heartseeker until Rain of Arrows becomes available again.
  • Use Dash and Shadow Step to avoid mechanics or adjust your position.
With fully optimized gear, the time between Rain of Arrows casts becomes significantly shorter. At that point, the playstyle shifts toward a very fast and consistent Rain of Arrows cycle.

Affix Priority

When optimizing your gear, prioritize the following stats:

  1. Maximum Energy
  2. Ranks to Rain of Arrows
  3. Cooldown Reduction
  4. Ranks to Marksman Skills
  5. Dexterity
  6. Critical Strike Chance
  7. Critical Strike Damage
  8. Attack Speed
  9. Movement Speed
  10. Maximum Life
Maximum Energy is particularly important for this build. Beastfall Boots consume all of your Energy when casting Rain of Arrows and convert the amount consumed into additional damage.

Cooldown Reduction is another core stat. The faster Rain of Arrows becomes available again, the more frequently you can trigger your strongest damage window.

Ranks to Rain of Arrows improve more than just your primary damage skill. They also increase the Energy generated by Aftermath Aspect, since its Energy generation scales with the rank of your Ultimate Skill.

Gear Optimization Tip

Optimize the core Rain of Arrows cycle before focusing purely on additional damage.

Prioritize Maximum Energy, Ranks to Rain of Arrows and Cooldown Reduction first. The goal is to cast Rain of Arrows with as much Energy as possible, quickly rebuild your Energy afterward and make the skill available again as soon as possible.

Once this cycle works reliably, you can further optimize offensive stats such as Critical Strike Chance, Critical Strike Damage and Attack Speed.

Also pay attention to your positioning. Scoundrel's Kiss rewards you for keeping some distance from enemies, allowing you to build Ferocity and further increase the damage of your Marksman Skills.

How to read and rebuild this Rogue build

This page holds a complete Rogue build for Diablo 4: skill tree, gear with aspects, paragon boards and the class mechanic. Here is how to read each tab and in what order to rebuild it.

The class mechanic: Specialization

One of three specializations is active and defines how the build handles its resource. Together with the imbuements it decides whether the build leans on sustained damage or single heavy hits.

Gear, aspects and affixes

The Gear tab lists every slot with its item, aspect and all affixes. Colour marks show what is special about a given line: a Greater Affix (GA) is the fifty-percent stronger roll of an affix, a tempering affix is added at the blacksmith from a manual, and an affix marked for masterworking only takes effect at Masterwork Quality 25 — which is why the planner always shows it at maximum.

Rebuild the gear in this order: uniques and mythics first, since they are fixed, then aspects on the remaining slots, then tempering and masterworking. Aspects can be imprinted from the Codex of Power or extracted from legendaries you find.

Paragon and glyphs

Paragon boards unlock at level 60. How many points this build spends is shown in the header band at the top. What matters is not the individual nodes but the glyphs: their radius grows with glyph level, and their additional bonus only applies once enough attribute points sit inside that radius. A board with the right rotation is therefore worth more than a board with more nodes filled in.

Variants and season

Many builds carry several variants — for example a version without mythics to start out. The bar under the build name switches between them, and skills, gear and paragon all change with it. The version picker in the header shows the build against the data of a given season.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Which main skill does the Rain of Arrows Cold Imbuement build use?
Rain of Arrows Cold Imbuement is a Rogue build. The skill bar runs Dash, Shadow Step, Cold Imbuement, Concealment, Heartseeker and Rain of Arrows.
Which gear does the Rain of Arrows Cold Imbuement build need?
The core items are Beastfall Boots and Scoundrel's Kiss. Key aspects are Aspect of Inner Calm, Aspect of Debilitating Toxins, High Velocity Aspect, Aspect of Heavenly Strength and Aspect of Frozen Memories (+4 more).
Which season and purpose is the Rain of Arrows Cold Imbuement build made for?
The build is set up for Season 15 as a Endgame build. It is rated A-Tier.
How many skill and paragon points does this build need?
The counters in the header band above the tabs show both: points spent against the maximum for that version. If the number is below the maximum, the build is not fully built out and you can place the remaining points to taste.
Why is masterworking always shown at the highest rank?
An affix marked for masterworking only takes effect at Masterwork Quality 25. A lower rank would say nothing useful for planning, so the planner always shows that state as reached.
Can I play this Rogue build in another season?
The underlying game data changes every season. The version picker shows the build against the data of a given season; values a later season changed will differ.
